In 2005 I began teacher training in Iyengar Yoga. Since then, I've sustained a lifelong curiosity in human anatomy, functional movement principles, kinaesthetics, biomechanics, and how quality of movement effects the quality of the mind and thus the quality of life.
In early 2010, I began to experience hip pain which slowly impeded my movement ability and overtime began to effect my mental health. I was fortunate enough to stumble upon an Amatsu practitioner who in just three sessions proceeded to release a pattern of restriction that I had held in my body for years. Some of it stemmed from physical injuries and some of it from deeply stored trauma. I was amazed at the results and have been getting Amastu Therapy regularly since.
I love Amatsu for it's breadth of application. Working with multiple body systems, physical, mental, energetic, from cranial to visceral, from musculoskeletal to neurohormonal, from energetic to emotional, this therapy has something for everyone.
